Autoquake urges drivers not to put off servicing
- 31st December 2009
Drivers should resist the temptation to save cash by putting off regular motor servicing checks, according to online used car retailer Autoquake.
The website has called on motorists to ensure they make getting their car serviced on time one of their resolutions for the new year, as all vehicles need “regular TLC” to keep them functioning.
In addition, the website has claimed that tyre checks should be made once a week, while drivers should also stay on top of oil levels.
Fredrik Skantze, founder of Autoquake.com, said: “These aren’t the usual ‘lose weight’ or ‘join the gym’ promises.
“These resolutions will save you money, keep you safe, or just make the roads a nicer place in 2010.”
Warranty Direct recently called on drivers to avoid potholes, as the average repair bill for damage caused when encountering such problem areas can run to £240.
It is believed that the total cost to British motorists is in the region of £1 million.
